PACCE (Prostate & Colon Cancer Event)
The Lions Club of Grand Cayman, PACCE – Prostate, and Colon Cancer Event awareness campaign is now in its twelfth (12th) year. Over the past eleven (11) years, the focus of PACCE has been to educate the people of the Cayman Islands, primarily men on the effects and prevention of prostate, colon, and testicular cancer. We have seen the awareness level grow yearly, and the myths preventing many men from getting checked are becoming less.
Annually, of the funds raised 35% will be donated to the Cayman Islands Cancer Society and 35% to Jasmine. The remaining 30% will be used by our club to fund our Health and Awareness meetings and to assist individuals who are affected by these diseases.
This year we proudly celebrate another anniversary of the Delano Hislop Memorial Journey for Life With a 15/25K Bike Ride, 10K Run, and 5K Walk on Sunday, October 15th, 2023, starting time is 5:00 am. The event starts and ends at the Lions Community Centre. This event is in memory of and in support of all persons that have been affected by prostate, colon, or testicular cancer.
