CIMA 5K Walk/Run 2024

All proceeds from the event will benefit the development of literacy or numeracy programmes at various Cayman Islands Government primary schools and the Lighthouse School. The goal is to help the Cayman Islands Government primary schools and the Lighthouse School to implement and/or enhance various educational initiatives and learning curriculums for its students.

Event shirts and chipped bibs can be collected from the CIMA Office in Century Yard (3rd floor), Cricket Square.
Shirts will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
Chipped bibs will not be provided to registrants who will be completing the course within a stroller. 

Collection dates and times are as follows: – 

• Tuesday, 21 May 2024 (11:00am – 5:00pm)
• Wednesday, 22 May 2024 (11:00am – 5:00pm)
• Thursday, 23 May 2024 (11:00am – 5:00pm)
• Friday, 24 May 2024 (9:00am – 5:00pm)
• Saturday, 25 May 2024 (10:00am – 2:00pm)

Strollers are welcomed. Bikes nor dogs will be permitted. 

There will be no shirt/bib distributions taking place on race day nor will same day registrations be accepted. 

Persons must be present to claim their raffle prize.

I hereby agree to assume all risks inherent in participation in this 5K Walk & Run, whether they are apparent to me or not. I certify that I am in good physical health and fit to participate. Nevertheless, I acknowledge that participation carries an inherent risk of injury to my person and damage to my property. I hereby waive and release, for myself and on behalf of my heirs and legal representatives, any and all claims, causes of action, or liabilities from injury, death or damages which may hereafter accrue against the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, and its agents, employees, volunteers, officers, directors, any and all sponsors, its representatives and successors, that may arise as a result of my participation in the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority 5K Walk & Run.

In no event shall the Authority be liable whether for breach of contract, any tortious act or omission (including negligence) or otherwise, under or in connection with my participation in the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority 5K Walk & Run for any loss or damage, including but not limited to:

1. loss of profit
2. loss of reputation
3. loss of business revenue or goodwill
4. loss of anticipated savings
5. pledges made on my behalf or by me to charity; or

6. consequential or indirect loss, regardless of whether the loss or damage:(a) would arise in the ordinary course of events;(b) is reasonably foreseeable; or(c) is in the contemplation of the parties, or otherwise.

Further, I hereby agree that any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of these events for any legitimate purpose by the Authority and those authorised by the Authority, including commercial advertising, in any way which the Authority may see fit now or in the future including but not limited to film, broadcast, radio, TV, publications and publicity without monetary payment to me. I agree that any audio, visual or audio-visual recordings that I make of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority 5K Walk & Run or any part of it are for personal use only and cannot be used for any commercial purpose.

I understand that my participation in the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority 5K Walk & Run, including finishing times and any other related information will not be confidential and may be published.
