Save the date for the 2021 CIMA 5K Walk/Run

  • 11 July 2021 5:30am at Century Yard, Cricket Square, George Town

All proceeds from the event will benefit the development of literacy or numeracy programmes at various Cayman Islands Government primary schools.

 

  • Awards will be presented to the top finishers in each age category. 
  • Raffle prizes will be distributed during the event (winners must be present to claim their prize). 
  • Event shirts will be provided to the first 175 registrants. 

 

  • Registration costs are as follows: - 
    • Adults - $20
    • Children 12 & Under - $10

 

  • Registration Forms can be hand delivered (with exact cash amount) to 3rd Floor, CIMA, Century Yard, Cricket Square.

The Truman Bodden Law School Student Society is inviting you to take part in the Annual TBLS Student Society Walk/Run. The Student Society is a non-profit organisation which fundraises for the following objectives:

  • To provide financial assistance to students in need
  • To provide general consumables to all students of the school
  • To cover the fees of national and international competitions, moots or other events
  • To cover the cost of graduation students

Part of the proceeds of this year’s fundraising events will also be shared with the Alex Panton Foundation!

The race will take place on Sunday 12th September 2021.

The starting and finishing line of the race will be at the top of Safe Haven road and it starts at 6:30am.

You may attend the race individually or as a team of 4. There will be a prize for the fastest individual and fastest team.

All teams must include the following:

  • at least 1 male
  • at least 1 female
  • at least 1 person over the age of 45
  • consist of at least 2 departments within your company (if relevant)

The cumulative time of the team will be computed and there will be a prize for the fastest team!

Save the date.... Miss World Cayman Islands proudly presents the 3rd Annual EnviroWalk 5K Walk / Run, to bring awareness to the environment and to encourage participants to make environmentally friendly life style choices: Sunday 24th October 2021 - starting 6am.

Miss World Cayman Islands believes the Environment is very important to us and especially to our future generations and hopes to bring awareness to all residents of Cayman. Miss World CI also encourages a healthy lifestyle so this walk really aligns with what we are all about.

MWCI is a non-for-profit company who relies on donations, sponsorships and fundraising. We are currently raising funds for our 2021 pageant. We hope you will join us in our efforts to bring awareness to the protection and preservation of the environment and our belief to live a healthy lifestyle. We appreciate your support. 

Please bring your water bottle, hats, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes!

Stride Against Cancer is organized by the Cayman Islands Cancer Society and is the organization’s largest fundraising event it takes place on Sunday January 30th, 2022. The funds raised will help finance the Society’s many programs and activities.

Details below are from the 2021 event and remain subject to update for 2022.

North Side Stride
Beginning at Kaibo at 7am, approx 3 1/4 miles to Old Driftwood, turn around and 3 1/4 miles back to Kaibo. Breakfast and raffle. For more information call Ann McFarland at 925 1899.

Seven Mile Beach Stride
Staggered start times: 6am, 6:30am, 7am and 7:30am. Maximum 500 people in each start time. Arrive for your preferred start time - Wristbands will be issued - First come, first served.

Cancer touches everyone. What makes Stride Against Cancer different from other charity walk/run events is the connection that participants and volunteers feel with each other and with the cause.

There are over 1300 participants and more than 100 volunteers between the walk/run in George Town and the one in North Side. Both events are non-competitive.

Additionally, school children all around the island Stride Against Cancer within their schools on the Friday before the main Stride events.

The event attracts people of all ages and from all walks of life and truly reflects the diversity of the Caymanian community. It is a family event with people coming together united in the common goal of striding against cancer.

We hope you and your organization will join us and be a part of the largest walk/run in the Cayman Islands.

CUC is taking to the streets again in West Bay on Saturday, March 5th 2022.

Details below are from the 2021 event and remain SUBJECT TO CONFIRMATION FOR 2022...

A fun run and walk as we raise money for the Sunrise Adult Training Centre and the Cayman Islands Athletic Association (CIAA). Everyone is welcome to join us.

Course: Starts and ends at Ristorante Pappagallo, Conch Point Road, West Bay. See event timeline for a map.

  • Start on Conch Point Road near junction with Powery Road
  • Turn right on to Andersen Road
  • Turn left on to Topsail Street
  • Turn around at the junction with Thistle Lane
  • Turn right on to Andersen Road
  • Turn left on to Conch Point Road
  • Finish at Ristorante Papagallo

There will be water stops along the way and light refreshments at the finish.

Start Time: 6:30 a.m. (Walkers) and 6:45 a.m. (Runners). Check-in begins at 5:30 a.m. (to receive numbers (all participants) and race chips (for runners)

Fee: CI$15 Adults and $10 Youth (Under 17)

Registration:
1) Register online at www.caymanactive.com (from February 11th) or
2) Download the PDF form from CUC’s website at www.cuc-cayman.com (click on “Events” under the “About Us” tab on the Home Page). Complete, scan and e-mail the form to communications@cuc.ky
3) Forms can be dropped-off and payments made by cash or cheque (payable to CUC) at CUC’s Administration Building on North Sound Road from Monday, March 1 to Friday, March 5 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Participants who register online can should also pay, collect their t-shirts and ‘power’ bags from CUC on those five days in March. Note: There will be no registration on the day of the event.

Amenities: First 250 participants will receive a t-shirt (sizes are not guaranteed) and all participants will receive a participation medal and ‘power’ bag following the event. Light refreshments will be provided and trophies for the fastest and second fastest finishers in the Adult and Youth Under 17 divisions will be presented at the end.
